Delifonseca - Dockside, Liverpool

Delifonseca is a multi award winning deli, café, restaurant and catering company based in Liverpool – winner of the Good Food Guide Readers’ Restaurant of the Year for 2014!

They have two outlets – the original ‘Fonseca’s’ on Stanley St as well as the site I visited, dockside on Brunswick Quay.

In town early, I opted for the hearty Docker’s Breakfast: two Broughs (who operate an onside butchery) free range pork sausages, two rashers of Broughs free range back bacon, two free range eggs (perfectly poached), mushrooms, tomato, sautéed potatoes & toast – everything on the plate was high quality and well cooked.

A decent cappuccino and a San Pellegrino Limonata and I was good to go – ready for a day toiling on the docks! (Or shopping in my case.)

I definitely plan to return to the deli and am keen to try their lunchtime or evening blackboard specials.

  1. I could recommend their The Great British Platter - £12.95
Their aioli and hummus are the best i've tasted !

  2. Beautiful views and delicious food, you can find both anywhere in Liverpool. It's the city of glory. Whether it's football or politics, Liverpool always stands ahead. I remember some of the famous photographers there like Samanthabrown photography in liver pool.
