Some pictures from an outstanding and exceptionally good
value lunch.
Although aware of them due to the Michelin Star, The Crown came to my particular attention
thanks to the review by MO’L in The Guardian (here).
I loved the idea that dad, Simon Bonwick, works alone
in the kitchen, while a gaggle of his nine offspring work front of house.
The Crown is one of those places that my wife and I both adored
from the moment we entered and then fell completely head over heels with once
we’d eaten.
Michelin say, “The
Crown is very personally and passionately run by the Bonwick family and comes
with a small bar and two intimate, open-fired dining rooms. The refined, deftly
prepared dishes - six per course - are decided upon daily; the options are
diverse and appealing, with flavours clearly defined.’
