The Lime Tree in Bollington is the sister restaurant to the long
established Lime
Tree in West Didsbury. (It is located next to the charming Oliver.)
I’m not going to go into too much
detail as I just popped in for a couple of dishes but it seemed to be a great
little local restaurant. They pride themselves on serving seasonal food, much
of which comes from their own nearby farm.
I started with the Mill workers lunch, chicken liver parfait,
Lancashire cheese, pickles, bread – the ingredients were good quality, with
especially bold flavoured chutneys. More bread for the amount of pate would have been
nice.
To follow I had the Rump steak burger with caramelised onion &
cheese, served with fries and pickles – a decent homemade burger served a
little pink in the middle.
This blog post is not a “review” –
it is just intended to let people know, who may not already know, that it
exists.
